Gates come in MANY styles and configurations from the humble paling or COLORBOND® clad single gate to perhaps close off the side of a house while allowing access when required to: - Elaborate automated double swing or sliding gates for your driveway!
Posts:
We use oversized posts (300mm longer than usual minimum size) so as to get the posts into the ground deeper for added stability of your gate(s) ongoing.
No matter what the gate style is if it requires posts to erect we will most likely advise to, and use either substantial timber posts, or steel posts as they don’t bend and warp like timber ones can, so your gates will remain plumb and usable ongoing, this is particularly relevant in the case of double swinging gates!
Footings:
In all cases we will recommend and be using concrete due to its superior strength instead of cement soil amalgam (cement mixed with soil), concrete footings are superior to retaining the ongoing correct working function of your gates.
Frames:
As a rule, we will recommend the use of a galvanised steel frame of varying dimensions depending on the type of gate required as they remain in shape ongoing for many years of hassle-free service. Some types of gates will come with their own style of frame.
Gate Cladding Materials:
There are or can be a myriad of options here so discuss this with your local V.I.P. Fencing operator who can advise you on your options.
Automation:
We only use the best quality gate motors that have a proven track record of both day to day use and long term reliablity along with best warranty!
If you are choosing to automate, and you should as it is so convenient and adds value to your property then using the best (not cheap online rubbish that can't be serviced and are unreliable at best) motors and equipment will serve you far better in the long run!
