Remodeling the Heart of the Home!
The house had a very small and Fugly kitchen, originally that was adjacent to the then dining room which led onto a covered pergola and decking area. What was decided was that we would move the kitchen into the larger dining room area and create a new dining room out of the pergola and in turn expand the decking area which would include an undercover pavilion eating and BBQ area. The old kitchen would then become a snug/study area. The idea here was that if in the kitchen you can look straight through the dining room out to the pavilion and you can also see straight into the snug/study so it would be easy to manage children from and in general socialise while in it. A viewing window to the spa was placed into the dining room area to not only ad a bit more light but is also handy to keeping an eye on kids in the spa without having to go outside.
The theme was a Hamptons Kitchen with a boat shed style Dining Room which included cathedral ceiling and walls clad in dado panels.
Upon arriving at the new make up of the house a drafts person was engaged to draw up the additions which included the upstairs balcony (an engineer was also required for the balcony drawings and specs) and in turn these drawings were submitted to council by our building surveyors for a planning permit to be granted which in due course was granted.
Material choices were made for all the said works and double-glazed windows and doors were ordered along with a retractable fly screen for bi fold doors so doors can be fully opened with no insect issues!
A new Hamptons Inspired kitchen was designed and ordered also and paint/colour schemes were chosen. Our kitchen designer and builder AC&V Kitchens exceeded our expectations! Click here to go to their website.
Once in receipt of the building permit external works started in earnest but while waiting for it other internal works were commenced in preparation.

I engaged Terry to renew my back fence some months ago and I was impressed with his attention to detail, plus his punctuality and good workmanship. I have no hesitation in recommending him for any fencing work. He will do a fantastic job.

I contracted Harley to build a colorbond fence with an automated gate. As I am on a corner block with different elevations, Harley was able to construct a level fence that also had complex corners. Harley advised me on the type of model automated gate. Again Harley got all the measurements down to the millimeter and my gate is a dream come true. Harley walked me through the operation of my gate and offered any assistance if any problems. Cont...

Hi Ben. Just a short note to again indicate my appreciation for the replacement of two fences for my daughter and me. From the first contact with you when you provided me with quotes, I was pleased with several things; (a) your promptness in providing the quotes, (b) your professional and considered advice as to what was the best material etc. that suited our requirements and finally the professional completion and appearance of the fences that were done in a timely manner. Due to your professional work and friendly disposition, I would have no hesitation in recommending your work to anyone. Regards Neil O’Loughlin.

"My neighbour & I chose Warren Smith to demolish a long wooden fence between my property & my neighbours', and erect a new timber fence in it's place. We chose Warren because his quote was very reasonable (we had 6 quotes in all), and because I knew Warren's workmanship was thorough & of a high standard from a job he & Cathy had done for me previously. The demolition of the old fence was complicated by the fact that it was completely covered by thick ivy growing from various spots along the fence. The amount of ivy on the fence was so heavy, it was pushing the old fence over. Warren (& 2 helpers) dug out & poisoned the roots of as much ivy a

We had a clear idea about the sort of fence that we wanted, but after getting three other quotes (which were mostly vague) we weren't confident that we were going to find the right person to do it for us. Then we found VIP Fencing and we were so pleased to find somebody who was able to make our fence and communicate well with us. Everything was clear from the beginning - Bryan understood what we wanted, made a suggestion of something that would improve the design (and he was right) and sent through a detailed and clear quote. Karen was also great to deal with and communicated with us with any questions we had. During the job, they worked hard and remained professional and friendly throughout - it was a big job and the days were very hot! Bryan paid attention to detail and took pride in his work. We have already received compliments for our fence and we're happy it looks exactly as we hoped it would. Home improvements can be stressful and costly and it's always a pleasure and relief when you hire somebody and they not only fulfill your expectations but surpass them. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bryan and Karen who are not only hard workers, but are also just lovely to deal with!

This project was completed on Sat 10 March 2018 by VIP Home Services - Fencing. Excellent work. Clint was very proficient in carrying out the requested type and design of fence requested. He consulted with me when there was need for clarification where some others may have made their own decision just to finish the job. This fence, classed as a 'feature fence', is simple in concept but intricate in execution. However, Clint was diligent and delivered a quality job with no fuss. I am very satisfied.
