This is part of our first home reno series. Please remember to read our "Reno & Home Improvement Advice" blog before you attempt such a large project on your own.
From Overgrown and Tacky to Sleek and Refined!
To have a low maintenance garden and house exterior in general with some unique and niche touches to it whilst tying all into the rear of the property.
This project was a HUGE amount of work but like any journey it has to start with a first step so to begin with an out of control ficus creeper needed to be removed from the front fence, retainer walls and front patio area, this was a complete bugger of a job but very necessary in order to stop damage to all it clung to and to obtain the final look.
From there, the driveway left hand garden needed to be cleared along with two huge lilly pilly trees at the front gate that were ripping up the old driveway with their root systems that also managed to block the old ceramic drain pipes. The top garden area was also stripped of all vegetation except the central mulberry tree.
The old wrought iron banister on the front porch was also removed along with the guttering as was the front door along with all front windows and frames.
The driveway was also ripped up completely, so as to be widened and replaced with high end pebble mix type that would now extend all the way to the road.
Now all was stripped back, we set about replacing and rejuvenating the entire front and sides plus bricked rear area of the house that would make it a home instead!

Thank you Bryan and Karen for a professional, friendly and helpful service. My new side gate is the best. I have been told it was fixed on three separate occasions and overcharged on each one. I really appreciate the way you have both looked after me.

Thanks Bryan and Karen for the professional work installing our glass pool fencing. Bryan did an amazing job working in the heat to make sure our fence was perfect. We are extremely happy and your quote was very competitive, would definitely recommend you to anyone who is looking for perfection at a reasonable price. The only tradesman that arrived on time and cleaned up after he finished. SUPER HAPPY.

Worthy job!! Thanks for another job well done VIP Fencing!!!! Achieved success with absolutely no problems given the challenging slope of our land. They went above and beyond. Matt Chapman...an absolute champion star!!
We wholeheartedly recommend Shaun Smiley and VIP Home Services for their excellent fencing work. We were delighted with the high quality result, the meticulous attention to detail, the efficiency and timeliness of the work, the professionalism, the value for money - and also (importantly) with the whole process, as Shaun and VIP were an absolute delight to deal with. Shaun completed two boundary fences on either side of our residential property. It was a complex job involving a heritage property, working with 3 separate property owners, and huge old vines completely covering the existing fences which we wanted to preserve. to be cont...

Hi Terry, Many thanks for the work that you did for us. The improvements to the entrance of the veranda have made it a lot safer with a better appearance. Your ability to replicate the turned posts was an eye opener. The facing and lining of the fireplace has given a new perspective to the lounge room, It was refreshing to see a “tradesman” at work. Also, we had no problems in you having full access to the house when we were away shopping. We would not hesitate in contacting you if further work is required or to recommend you to those requiring home maintenance.

Clinton and his crew were the best. Fast, efficient and well priced. They cleaned up afterwards and the fence is sturdy once again to prevent an escaping dog. I would highly recommend his services to anyone looking to replace their fence.
