This is part of our first home reno series. Please remember to read our "Reno & Home Improvement Advice" blog before you attempt such a large project on your own.
From Overgrown and Tacky to Sleek and Refined!
To have a low maintenance garden and house exterior in general with some unique and niche touches to it whilst tying all into the rear of the property.
This project was a HUGE amount of work but like any journey it has to start with a first step so to begin with an out of control ficus creeper needed to be removed from the front fence, retainer walls and front patio area, this was a complete bugger of a job but very necessary in order to stop damage to all it clung to and to obtain the final look.
From there, the driveway left hand garden needed to be cleared along with two huge lilly pilly trees at the front gate that were ripping up the old driveway with their root systems that also managed to block the old ceramic drain pipes. The top garden area was also stripped of all vegetation except the central mulberry tree.
The old wrought iron banister on the front porch was also removed along with the guttering as was the front door along with all front windows and frames.
The driveway was also ripped up completely, so as to be widened and replaced with high end pebble mix type that would now extend all the way to the road.
Now all was stripped back, we set about replacing and rejuvenating the entire front and sides plus bricked rear area of the house that would make it a home instead!

cont... Shaun performed an extremely tricky job perfectly and with a smile. The new fences look fantastic - and the old vines look better than ever. Today I had the pleasure of meeting the team from VIP fencing & home maintenance Fremantle. As a Franchisee for the Concrete Taxi franchise Perth, I was pleased to experience their customer orientated focus. Bryan & Karen are about the client first and for most which in this day and age is a rarity. I believe they will with this attitude impress all to whom come in contact with them.

In October 2018 in Kew, Chris from VIP Fencing replaced all our fencing, created retaining walls for gardens, and also gating. Right from the start, Chris was very reliable, a great communicator, a great problem solver and his workmanship is excellent. More than this, he collaborated with us at each stage of the job where decisions had to be made. His experience also helped guide us through the body corp process to get everything signed off with ease. Chris is a very pleasant, hard working and skillful tradesman to work with. We are very pleased with the end result and we also enjoyed the process (which is just as important)! Highly recommended and 5 stars from us.

Dear Ange, I just wanted to say thanks and what a pleasure it was to have you build my back fence. At the time of calling you I was in a desperate situation of needing the fence built urgently, you were not only able to meet my needs with the timeframe, but your advise on what would be best with regard to how the fence should be constructed, and the assurance re the quality of work and materials overall represents 100% satisfaction on my part. Once again thanks for everything, the fence looks great, and I will not hesitate to recommend you to anyone who needs a fence. Cheers.
