This is part of our first home reno series. Please remember to read our "Reno & Home Improvement Advice" blog before you attempt such a large project on your own.
From Overgrown and Tacky to Sleek and Refined!
To have a low maintenance garden and house exterior in general with some unique and niche touches to it whilst tying all into the rear of the property.
This project was a HUGE amount of work but like any journey it has to start with a first step so to begin with an out of control ficus creeper needed to be removed from the front fence, retainer walls and front patio area, this was a complete bugger of a job but very necessary in order to stop damage to all it clung to and to obtain the final look.
From there, the driveway left hand garden needed to be cleared along with two huge lilly pilly trees at the front gate that were ripping up the old driveway with their root systems that also managed to block the old ceramic drain pipes. The top garden area was also stripped of all vegetation except the central mulberry tree.
The old wrought iron banister on the front porch was also removed along with the guttering as was the front door along with all front windows and frames.
The driveway was also ripped up completely, so as to be widened and replaced with high end pebble mix type that would now extend all the way to the road.
Now all was stripped back, we set about replacing and rejuvenating the entire front and sides plus bricked rear area of the house that would make it a home instead!

I am so pleased with my new fence and sliding gate. Bryan attended to the smaller detail by professionally replacing the pavers and filling a hole in the brick wall. Going that extra mile makes such a difference.

Sid has provided us with exceptional customer service and quality of work! Our boundary fence with steel posts looks fantastic, and we could not be any happier with the finished product. We have Sid booked in over the next few weeks to come and complete our second boundary fence too. We highly recommend Sid and will be passing on his details to our friends and family for their fencing/gate needs. Big thanks again Sid, and we’ll see you for our second fence soon!

Dear Ange, I just wanted to say thanks and what a pleasure it was to have you build my back fence. At the time of calling you I was in a desperate situation of needing the fence built urgently, you were not only able to meet my needs with the timeframe, but your advise on what would be best with regard to how the fence should be constructed, and the assurance re the quality of work and materials overall represents 100% satisfaction on my part. Once again thanks for everything, the fence looks great, and I will not hesitate to recommend you to anyone who needs a fence. Cheers.

Looking for a decent fencer is like looking for a good plumber, difficult. What makes Terry different to the others is he works alone and does the whole job with the same consistency and quality. He does not waste time and there is no loud music playing. He uses quality timber products and concretes in the posts. He also cleans up as he goes and leaves no mess. Some maybe cheaper, but I wanted a quality job that will last 20 or more years. I have had Terry construct 2 fences for me and would highly recommend him.
